May 6th Aphotica CANCELLED

Due to organizational changes the upcoming Aphotica on May 6th had been canceled.
I would like to apologizing to everyone this has affected. The kink community has given me the opportunity to meet some amazing individuals through various groups and activities. That’s why I love this community and want to see it thrive.
I was disappointed to hear that The Ball would be no more and took this opportunity to create Aphotica. My passion and vision has always been to bring an event to Winnipeg that was open, accessible and welcoming to all members of the community. I wanted to create something that could be worked on with friends, in a team environment, to get to know others, to welcome new members and to be enjoyed by all.
I feel Aphotica has gone off track from its original vision. As the main organizer some concerning practices were occurring by A COUPLE of volunteers, that were not in the best interest for the majority of Aphotica’s patrons. They failed to remedy the situation. I was forced to make some difficult decisions regarding some restructuring. Unfortunately, it has caused some conflict which has led to the cancellation of the event. I’m sorry for the inconvenience this has caused anyone who planned to attend or volunteer.
All tickets were pulled from stores earlier this evening in order to prevent further ticket sales. I will be reimbursing all who purchased tickets. Please contact me directly or email aphotica.winnipeg@gmail.com to make further arrangements.
Going forward I hope to bring back that community feel in future events. Stay posted for a new name and what’s to come next. Thank you everyone for your support past, present and future!

EDIT: If you need to ask if you are one of those volunteers, you’re not. The couple individuals who have created these issues know full well who they are. They have made the conscious decision to proceed to cause conflict not only with myself but various other groups and community members.
